Disaster Management Training Session at University of Shangla
In pursuance of the directives of the Secretary Higher Education, a Disaster Management Training Session was organized at the University of Shangla under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Sardar Khan (TI), Vice Chancellor, in collaboration with Rescue 1122 Shangla.
The session addressed the pressing challenges posed by disasters and their impact on human life and highlighting their impact on human life and society. Speakers emphasizing the importance of awareness, preparedness, research, and collective action for a sustainable and resilient future.
Prominent participants included Engr. Malak Sher Dil Khan (District Emergency Officer, Rescue Shangla), Mr. Zia-ul-Haq (Rescue 1122 Shangla), and Mr. Rasool Khan Sharif (Media & Training In-charge, Rescue 1122 Shangla).
Engr. Malak Sher Dil Khan delivered an informative address on disaster protection and management strategies, while Mr. Rasool Khan Sharif highlighted the vital role of Rescue 1122 in society. He also conducted specialized training sessions on medical emergencies, fire safety, and disaster response, equipping students with practical skills to contribute effectively during emergencies and social welfare activities.
The Honorable Vice Chancellor appreciated the efforts of Rescue 1122 Shangla, the faculty, students, the Department of Zoology, and the administrative staff for their valuable contributions in making the event a success.
