Training on Firefighting and Disaster Management at the University of Shangla
In pursuance of the directives of the Secretary Higher Education, a Training Session on Firefighting and Disaster Management was organized at the University of Shangla under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Sardar Khan (TI), Vice Chancellor, in collaboration with Rescue 1122 Shangla.
The session addressed the pressing challenges posed by disasters, emphasizing their impact on human life and society. Speakers underscored the importance of awareness, preparedness, research, and collective action to build a sustainable and resilient future.
Prominent participants included Mr. Khan Muhammad (Emergency Officer, Rescue 1122 Shangla) and Mr. Rasool Khan Sharif (Media & Training In-charge, Rescue 1122 Shangla).
Mr. Khan Muhammad delivered an insightful presentation on Firefighting and Disaster Management, while Mr. Rasool Khan Sharif highlighted the crucial role of Rescue 1122 in ensuring public safety. He also conducted specialized training sessions on medical emergencies, fire safety, and disaster response — equipping students with practical skills to respond effectively during emergencies and contribute to community welfare.
