University of Shangla Organized a Series of Training Sessions on Disaster Management and Firefighting in Collaboration with Rescue 1122 Shangla
In pursuance of the directives of the Secretary Higher Education Department, the University of Shangla, in collaboration with Rescue 1122 Shangla, organized a series of training sessions focused on Disaster Management and Firefighting. The initiative aimed to raise awareness about the significance of preparedness and effective response during natural disasters and emergencies.
Engr. Malak Sher Dil Khan delivered insightful and thought-provoking presentations on disaster management, firefighting, and the importance of community-based support during emergencies. Mr. Rasool Khan Sharif and other team members from Rescue 1122 conducted practical training sessions for students, equipping them with essential knowledge and skills to respond effectively in disaster and fire situations.
The sessions were graced by Prof. Dr. Sardar Khan (TI), Honorable Vice Chancellor, University of Shangla, who appreciated the collaborative efforts in promoting disaster preparedness and firefighting awareness. He also encouraged students to actively participate in such valuable training initiatives and use skills and energy to serve the community particularly disasters.
The event concluded with an interactive discussion on disaster management, followed by a shield presentation ceremony. The Honorable Vice Chancellor presented shields to the District Emergency Officer (DEO), Mr. Rasool Khan (Training Session In-Charge), and Mr. Zia Ul Haq (Station House In-Charge, Rescue 1122 Shangla). Appreciation certificates were also distributed among the Rescue 1122 team members and participating students.
