Seminar on Peace Building and Dialogue at the University of Shangla
In accordance with the directive of the Higher Education Department and under the supervision of the Honorable Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Sardar Khan (TI), the University of Shangla organized a seminar titled “Peace Building and Dialogue.” The seminar aimed to promote mutual understanding, tolerance, and constructive dialogue among students, faculty, and the wider academic community.
Dr. Faiz Ur Rahman, Director ORIC, warmly welcomed all participants and highlighted the importance of peace-building through open and respectful dialogue. The keynote address was delivered by Dr. Abdur Rahman Khalil, who emphasized that peace is not merely the absence of conflict but the presence of justice, empathy, and effective communication.
Throughout the event, participants engaged in insightful discussions on the role of youth in fostering peace, intercultural understanding, and social harmony. Several students shared their reflections on how dialogue can bridge differences and contribute to building stronger, more inclusive communities.
