University of Shangla and BBSUTSD Khairpur Signed MoU for Academic and Research Collaboration
The University of Shangla and Benazir Bhutto Shaheed University of Technology and Skill Development (BBSUTSD), Khairpur Mirs, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen academic cooperation, research collaboration, and capacity building.
Under the MoU, both institutions will collaborate in key areas including faculty and staff training, joint research initiatives, student internships, curriculum development, and knowledge exchange. Special focus will be given to research on wildlife conservation, fisheries and aquaculture, water quality, irrigation technologies, wastewater treatment, and climate-resilient water management relevant to regional and national needs.
The agreement also emphasizes community and industry engagement through outreach programs promoting sustainable water practices and applied solutions for rural and urban challenges. Both universities will nominate focal persons to ensure effective implementation and monitoring of activities, with annual joint review meetings to assess progress.
The MoU will remain in effect for five years and may be extended by mutual consent. This partnership reflects the shared commitment of both universities to advancing research, innovation, and sustainable development through collaborative efforts.
