The University of Shangla commemorated Pakistan Day on 23rd March 2026 with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit. The event was organized in accordance with the directives of the Higher Education Commission (HEC) and the Higher Education Department (HED).
The ceremony was held under the esteemed supervision of the Honorable Vice Chancellor, University of Shangla, Prof. Dr. Sardar Khan (TI). The event was graced by distinguished guests including Deputy Commissioner Mr. Syed Abdullah Shah, District Forest Officer Shangla, District Emergency Officer Reacue 1122 Malak Sher Dil Khan and DSP Headquarters Alpuri, Mr. Muhammad Bashar Khan. Faculty members, administrative staff, and a large number of students also participated in the event.
The program commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by the national anthem. Various activities were organized to highlight the significance of Pakistan Day, including speeches, tableau presentations, and performances reflecting the spirit of unity, sacrifice, and resilience that led to the creation of Pakistan.
In his address, the Vice Chancellor emphasized the historical importance of 23rd March, marking the passage of the Pakistan Resolution in 1940, which laid the foundation for the establishment of an independent homeland for Muslims of the subcontinent. He urged students to dedicate themselves to education, unity, and national development in order to contribute positively to the progress and prosperity of Pakistan.
The Honorable Vice Chancellor extended his sincere appreciation to the district administration, Police Department, Forest Department, and all faculty members, administrative staff, and students for their active participation and cooperation in making the event successful.
The event concluded with a collective pledge to uphold the ideals of Pakistan and work towards a brighter and stronger future for the nation.
