The University of Shangla, in collaboration with the Alpuri Forest Division and the District Administration Shangla, organized the Ehsaas-e-Shajar Plantation Drive at the University on March 23, 2026.

This initiative was part of a province-wide campaign launched under the directions of the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Minister for Higher Education, and the Secretary of the Higher Education Department, aiming to plant one million trees across the province in connection with the 23rd March celebrations.

The plantation drive commenced on Monday, March 23, 2026 at the University of Shangla. The Honourable Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Sardar Khan (TI), graced the occasion and actively participated by planting a Deodar (Cedrus deodara) sapling, symbolizing the University’s commitment to environmental sustainability and afforestation.

The Deputy Commissioner Shangla, officials from the Alpuri Forest Division, and the DSP Headquarters Alpuri were also present at the event. On this occasion, the Honourable Vice Chancellor extended his sincere gratitude to all district officers and participants for their active involvement and support in making the event successful.
